About Me
Finding fulfillment in support
With over 18 years of professional experience in yachting, on vessels ranging from 65'-180', I have a keen understanding of the complexities and challenges of this industry. I am not afraid to get my hands dirty and I genuinely enjoy being involved in all projects onboard. I am a dedicated, loyal and hard working professional who strives to continue to grow within the industry through education and hands-on learning.
My Story
I am blessed with a robust and extensive background in the yachting industry, beginning my professional journey in 2006 as a freelance deckhand at the old Knight and Carver shipyard here in San Diego on the M/Y Xilonin. Being committed to growing, by 2008, I advanced to the role of first officer on the 147-foot charter yacht TUSCAN SUN, where I spent a few years exploring the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Bahamas, and the US East Coast learning everything I could from Captain Gui Garcia.
Studying whenever possible and working aboard various yachts, gave me the necisarry skills to ultimately become the Captain of the 112-foot PRIMADONNA in 2012. Continued study lead to me running the M/Y DESPERADO, a 130' Westport, for five years, cruising the Bahamas, Caribbean on the way to Cali. During Covid I took on the role of captain and project manager for PALIADOR at Marine Group Boatworks in 2020.
On completions of the refit and after the birth of Ava our little girl, I joined Northrop and Johnson as salesman in hopes to continue grow within the local and international community while continuing to offer captains and management services to local and transient yachts.
By supporting & expanding the West Coast Captains network group that he created on WhatsApp in June 2021.
